OUR STORY

Built by people who've done this before.

TCKT was built by event organizers who were tired of paying high fees and fighting clunky dashboards. We built the tool we always wished existed.

How we got here

Our Story

TCKT was built by the team behind one of Canada's major independent events companies — based in Toronto with operations across the country. After years of dealing with bloated, expensive ticketing platforms built for stadiums and not independent promoters, the team decided to build something better.

The platform was built from the ground up by the founders themselves. Every feature — from real-time check-in to Stripe payouts — came from a real pain point felt at a real event.

The result is TCKT: a lean, organizer-first ticketing platform built for the culture. No unnecessary fees. No corporate bloat. Just a clean tool that helps you sell tickets, manage the door, and get paid.

The team

Who we are

We're a small team of builders, operators, and event people.

Our background spans enterprise technology consulting at PwC, enterprise software at SAP, and startup advisory through the Y Combinator network — but the reason TCKT exists is simpler than any of that: we've been running events as one of Canada's major independent events companies — Toronto-based with operations across the country — and we were tired of the tools available to us.

The CEO built the platform. The team brought the operational depth, the startup experience, and the industry relationships. We're not a VC-funded startup trying to disrupt ticketing from a boardroom. We're promoters who got fed up and built the thing ourselves.
